It came out of a dream in 2021. It's basically what I felt about what is going on around the globe. It was a recurring dream, and the dream did not stop until the painting was finished. It took a year to complete the painting. Part of the inspiration was from the landscapes I have seen in Chicago and in France. The measurements of this painting are 177 inches long by 60 inches wide by 2 inches deep. This painting was exhibited in the third floor gallery of Bridgeport Art Center in the fall of 2023.
This one came out of a dream in 2016. I started doing the draft work and didn't complete the painting until the end of 2017. There are 14 children in here -- the triangular shadows that the children are looking at are 3 U-bombers that are flying overhead. There are also two soldiers, one male and one female, that just returned back from the wars. As you can see, they are missing some limbs. It's the red-faced child that frightened me the most and I would wake up in cold sweats from this dream. The dimensions of this painting is 61.5 inches long by 49.5 inches high by 2 inches deep. The painting is framed. It's in a private collection now.
